Inspiring. Comfortable. Layered. Functional. Beautiful. Familiar. Purposeful. Reflective. Inviting. Soothing. Energetic. Personal. Productive.
What do these words mean to you? At Nest, they evoke the essence of home—a space that is entirely yours and as unique as you are.
Nest was founded on the belief that our living environment profoundly impacts the quality of our lives. When our spaces are functional, efficient, comfortable, and visually pleasing, they empower us to lead productive, fulfilling lives both inside and outside the home.
Join us on this journey of growth and transformation and let us help you design and build your perfect nest.

Angelee Marques
Founder & Principal Designer
Angelee Marques is the Founder and Principal Designer of Nest Interior Design Studio, a Loudoun County, VA based firm known for creating timeless, functional, and distinctive spaces for both residential and commercial clients. She founded the studio (formerly Nest Interior Décor) in September 2013, driven by her belief that a comforting home is the foundation for a productive life.
Her portfolio spans large-scale home renovations, new-build collaborations, and hospitality projects such as Cana Vineyards’ Black Oak Café, where she brings a thoughtful, client-centered approach to every project. Her path into entrepreneurship reflects her belief that great design is not about following trends but about listening deeply to how people want to live and work. Under her leadership, Nest has grown from residential roots into a full-service design studio serving clients across the region and beyond.
Angelee holds a BBA in Finance from James Madison University, a Certificate in Interior Design and is pursuing her NCIDQ certification. Her diverse background includes roles as a financial analyst, project manager in the corporate world, full-time mom, and interior décor sales professional. Each of these experiences has shaped her journey, fostering the expertise, perspective, and creativity she brings to her work today.
She is committed to innovation and staying ahead of industry change, frequently attending national trade shows, engaging with professional associations, and collaborating with trusted partners to deliver designs that feel both current and enduring. An ASID National Volunteer, she also spearheads philanthropic initiatives such as the “Room to Heal” project for Loudoun Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Services, reflecting her belief that design has the power to create dignity, comfort, and hope.
Angelee finds inspiration in travel and in the beauty of the world around her. She lives in Loudoun County with her husband, two children in college and Olive, their spirited mixed-breed pup. Whether sourcing materials, leading a construction walk-through, or collaborating with clients on cabinet configurations, she is passionate about using design as a tool for empowerment and growth, for her clients, her business, and her community.
